The third pillar of Alpro’s sustainable development is ‘PROFIT’: ethically responsible profit that accompanies healthy growth.

Alpro is a family owned company in fact and in spirit. Not only do family shareholders oversee the operations, it is also branching out with strong roots. This partly explains the healthy growth and well-balanced long-term and sustainable profit.

We aim to combine solid growth with a minimal ecological backlash. This is also reflected in our ‘waste is money’ philosophy. So we create a maximum of added value in a cost efficient manner.

Our performances have been recognised at various levels. :

• Belgian environmental award 2005 - 2006 (best international partnership for sustainable development)
• West Flanders environmental charter, a spontaneous initiative from Alpro NV to prepare for the ISO14000 certification
• Gazelle prize 2005 for Belgium's fastest-growing food company of the past 4 years.
