We are fast approaching a situation where the earth will have to feed some 8 billion people. It's obvious that some difficult questions will have to be asked - especially in terms of food production. By looking forward, Alpro soya has already made a number of choices that have a direct impact on the world around us.

One of the most obvious is to produce a 100% vegetable based product.  Why? Because producing vegetable proteins requires 10 times less land, 11 times less fossil fuel and an amazing 100 times less water. These 3 resources are precisely the subjects of intense debate at the moment.

In order to help work towards creating a healthy world and a viable future, Alpro soya recently took some new measures. Thus we decided to evolve to a CO2 neutral company, wherever we operate.

Our respect for nature goes further:

• No genetically modified soya beans
  we have a complete traceability system that ensures that all our products are GMO free.
• No soya from the Amazon Rainforest 
  none of the beans come from land that has been cleared from rain forests such as the Amazon
• Produced with the utmost care for the environment
  the entire production process meets very high environmental standards in terms of hygiene, water and material recycling
• Environmently friendly packaging
  Alpro soya is sold largely in Tetra Paks, recognised as the best solution for today's packaging by the European Commission in terms of recycling of packaging material.
