Alpro 2nd in Belgian Environment Award
Wevelgem, 19 October 2007. – Alpro will today receive the second prize in the biennial Belgian Environment Award, an initiative of the Federation of Enterprises in Belgium (FEB), from Minister of the Environment Bruno Tobback. Sustainable development has been a key aspect of doing business for Alpro for more than 25 years. The company integrates it in all aspects of its business operations and in the various stages of its production process. Alpro is European market leader in 100% natural soy products, and is a division of the Vandemoortele Group.
Today, Alpro is once again being crowned with the FEB’s environment award. Alpro has won the environment award before, for 2005-2006. Now Alpro has also added the second prize for 2007-2008 to its name. “We are honoured to receive this award,” says Bernard Deryckere, Managing Director of Alpro. “It reconfirms our years of efforts in the area of sustainable development.
