Alpro is the European pioneer in the development of mainstream soya-based food and drinks. For over 25 years, we have been championing a healthier, more sustainable way of producing tasty products that conserve the soya beans unique nutritional value.

This focus and a comprehensive approach to marketing, production and partnering have brought us to a leading position in the European market. Our wholesome food products are now produced in three European countries with the same care and with the same respect.

Today, the company employs directly over 760 people and indirectly over 2.000 people via partnerships through the whole of Europe. Alpro is continuing to grow as the market recognises the unique value of the brand and what we stand for.

Like consumers across Europe, we believe there is room for tasty, wholesome products that respect both the consumer s right to healthy food and a sustainable approach to developing and selling that food. In this day and age, it s not just what we sell that s important - it s also a question of how we produce it.

Our production process

From the soya bean to Alpro soya

• We firmly believe in the unique nutritional properties of soya. Our whole production process evolves from the natural power of soya. The processes we use totally respect the raw material. Our plant in Wevelgem, Belgium, is the largest and most highly developed of its kind in Europe.
• We base ourselves on a unique "whole soya bean process" that, unlike other processes that uses no chemicals during extraction. What s more, Alpro uses no genetically modified (GM) beans. To ensure this - as well as maintaining the highest quality levels - we trace the production from the farm to the shop. The result is a pure, natural and chemical-free product thatfits perfectly with our target market and our own philosophical choices.
• Some 35 people work on quality control every day, maintaining standards that earned us ISO 9001 and HACCP certification.
• This singular approach ensures ample supplies of the right product.
